The St Stephen’s College VET programs are focussed on industry and business skills – you’ll learn techniques that suit a variety of business environments all while also contributing valuable credits towards your WACE.  

The VET classes are incorporated into your usual school curriculum – giving you vital skills and knowledge that you’ll use throughout your career.


Using a blended delivery model of technology and practical learning activities, our professionally trained staff visit your school to equip your students with invaluable skills and knowledge in the familiar surrounds of your classrooms.


You will learn the skills and practical knowledge which will equip you to:

-       Maximise job opportunities after Year 12;

-       Improve your chances of gaining entry to university;

-       Gain a strong understanding of business practices.


The St Stephen’s College VET program will ensure you stay a step ahead of the competition by developing practical business skills.  

Year 1
Take the first step into the world of business – the first Certificate in Business includes:
·      Communication techniques;
·      Identifying development opportunities.  

Year 2
Kick start your business career with the Certificate II Business and learn:
·      How to use business technology;
·      Self-management skills;
·      Development of spreadsheets.  

Year 3
Not only will the VET program make you more employable after school, it will also teach you valuable skills to put into place in your final years of secondary study. Certificate III includes:
·      Sales techniques;
·      Occupational health & safety;
·      Production of professional documents.  

Year 4
Certificate IV is the final step in your VET, where you will learn the tips and tricks that give people a competitive advantage throughout their careers:
·      Delivery of presentations;
·      Marketing of businesses services and products;
·      Effective management of deadlines.
